Fashion show/Product Review/Dark spot treatment?

Hey hey...

I have some news to share with you all, some outfit ideas, product reviews PRODUCT THAT EVEN GUYS MIGHT LOVE..:) and of course your favorite health and beauty tips.  I had a request which I will be featuring on my tips sections....

So, the news is...this past weekend was ANA(Association of Nepalese in America) Fashion Extravaganza 2012, a great fashion show for all the fashion lovers.  I was working with the fashion team as a makeup artist, and had one of the best experience in my life.  I had an amazing team with the most gorgeous models, and enjoyed myself.  This is the outfit I wore for the show.  I was going for more of a 60's look with this outfit and hair, for makeup I decided to go for more of a summery look so I played with a lot of colors. The show was a hit. Thanks to everyone who contributed and helped make this show a success.  Here is the look... I hope you will enjoy...

My Sister and I

So, this last weekend I went out with my best friend and my sister.  Here is the look, I was playing with colors here as well...Opposite colors in the color wheel go great together...I hope you will like it...

Top: Forever 21
Pants: Pacific Sunwear
Jewelery: Clairs

This week I have a product review for yall...yay..

Have you heard of BB creams or Beauty Balms?  These are creams anyone can use even GUYS. These are skin corrector which can be used alone and is supposed to do the work for a moisturizer, primer, foundation, skin tone corrector and what not....BB creams first started in Asia, so when it became very popular among people there, it came up here in the US.

I personally think BB creams are great and it gives you that light coverage, and interesting thing is, even guys find this easy to use and helpful because it is just one tube that does it all.  So, guys if you have any special event to go to, then you can use BB cream to correct and smooth out your skin with the least coverage you want.

GIRLS if you don't wanna do foundation everyday then go for BB creams. You can also set this with your powder.

There are a lot of BB creams to choose from.  I have tried sephora, smashbox, clinique, estee lauder ones and those all work great according to your skin type.  You can choose anyone you like.  The review I have today is the drug store BB cream called Loreal Studio Secret Magic Skin Beautifier, the BB cream.  This product does a really good job on dry, to combination skin if used with a moisturizer.  I would not recommend this on any oily skin, because it does make u dewy, so u might look shinier throughout the day.  This product worked for me, it does exactly what the packaging says it does.  It gave me a light coverage which is what I want for summer.  Please do not try this if you are quickly reactive to new products or if you have acne prone skin.  It worked for my skin type and I am a combination.

Tip # 14:  I had a request from one of my readers about pigmentation/dark spots. You can slowly minimize those pigmentation. It is always a good idea to go to your doctor and ask for a skin lightener, but something that can be helpful is a product containing hydroquinone. Also products containing vitamin C brightens your skin, and licorice may help as well.  These ingredients will also be helpful when you are choosing that eye cream that you always wanted to get.  So, look for these when you are buying your skin lightener creams or an eye cream for dark circles.

Happy Tuesday

Summer

Hello Everyone...

This is a special post that will help you all with your skin issues.

I also have an outfit idea here that I wore to go around mid town and uptown Houston...

I went for an edgy look on this outfit.  You can wear it in many different ways.

Dress: Forever 21
Necklace, Ring: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Dsw shoes
Purse: Louis Vuitton

I wore those same accessories to a different outfit.  This could be a edgier look, and the detailing in this outfit makes it stand out.  The lace, studs, chains completes this look.

Summer tip:  I have researched and found some useful info for all of you....
You can visit http://www.makeup.com or here is what it says.

If you have: Dry, damaged, dull skin
Try: Blueberry Antioxidant Face Mask
Why it works: Blueberries are packed with powerful antioxidants that target free radicals, which can wreak havoc on skin cells. They also hold ellagic acid, a powerful polyphenol that can actually reduce inflammation and skin thickening caused by previous sun damage, and ingredients that can protect skin from future wrinkles caused by UVB rays. Meanwhile, yogurt provides lactic acid for gentle exfoliation and smoothing, and lemon helps brighten the skin.
Ingredients:

  • 8 to 10 blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup finely ground coffee, preferably espresso roast
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup plain whole yogurt or sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 egg white

Mash blueberries together with the yogurt and lemon juice. After cleansing, spread the entire mixture on your face, neck, and chest, avoiding the area around your eyes. Leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse well with lukewarm water and pat skin dry.
If you have: Blackheads and clogged pores
Try: Espresso Face Mask
Why it works:The milk and coffee contain naturally occurring acids that help rid your skin of surface debris and dead skin cells, and the cocoa powder helps condition and soothe your complexion.  Added bonus: Caffeine instantly firms skin.
Ingredients:
Stir all of the ingredients together until you have a smooth paste. Spread the entire mixture over your face and neck, avoiding your eye area. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse well with lukewarm water.
If you have: Redness and sensitive skin
Try: Soothing Facial Mask
Why it works: Whole milk yogurt is full of natural fats and proteins that cool and calm irritated skin, making this a great mask for soothing post-beach skin or sunburns. As a natural humectant, honey provides extra moisture and nourishment.
Ingredients:
Stir yogurt and honey together until smooth. Spread the mixture over your face, neck, or any other irritated or sunburned area. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse well with lukewarm water.
If you have: Acne or breakouts
Try: Fresh Strawberry Mask
Why it works: Strawberries contain salicylic acid, which is a key ingredient in many over-the-counter acne medications. They gently exfoliate skin while the honey kills bacteria that may be causing the inflammation. Additionally, egg white instantly tightens pores and creates a matte finish.
Ingredients:
Put all of the ingredients in a blender on high speed until smooth. Spoon the mixture into a clean container with a tight-fitting lid and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week. Spread over your face, neck, chest, back, and shoulders (or anywhere else you may have breakouts). Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse well with lukewarm water.

I hope this will help your skin this summer season.

Catch you all later...Enjoy...<3

Back into the blogging world..I missed you!!!

A Big Hello to all my readers and viewers,

First of all I want to apologize for being out of the blogging world for such a long period of time.  I was busy with school and so many other things.  I was also working on couple of small projects as well, which was kinda time consuming.
So, after graduation I went on a vacation and got back few days ago.... and one thing I realized is how much I missed blogging.  And of course I cant stay longer without talking and sharing things with you.

Anyways summer is here, I am sure everyone's closet is updated.  I have a few updated looks for summer.  I hope you all will enjoy...

                                                        Yah got that Degree...:)

So for my graduation day, I decided to wear a lacy white dress which I thought was very elegant and perfect for the occasion...I paired it with some nude accessories and red lips..just that pop of color for that day......
Had an awesome time......

Here is another look for you guys:

Top, pants and purse: Forever 21
Necklace: Clairs
Shoes: shoedazzle.com

I forgot my belt for this look but you guys can add the kind of accessories you like that goes with your style.

Now on the tips section we have...

Tip # 13: I am sure everyone hates it when you can feel a zit coming up on your face.  That zit doesn't pop up overnight, it has to build for a couple of days to get to the surface...So, to get rid of that hold hot compresses on the surface of the zit and treat it with a spot treatment.  This way you will prevent yourself from scarring or an invitation to another zit at the same place.

Have a great day you all.

You can post your pictures of your outfit on Valentine's day in my twitter-- follow at   richathapart

You can also leave a link on my blog on the comments section.  I would love to see your ideas, I know they are amazing!

Here you go:

Boots:  A shoe store in Nepal
Tights: Forever 21
Scarf: Pashmina from Nepal
Clutch: Jessica Simpson

Tips for the winter:  Its winter and everyone is experiencing dry skin, if you have no time to apply body lotion to your body or if your feel lazy after the shower, put few drops of olive oil or almond oil in your bath water and you are done.  It works like your body lotion and prevents skin from drying.
Before going to bed scrub your lips with a wash cloth and rub almond oil to prevent dry and chapped lips.

I hope you enjoy my blog

Back after Vacation!!

Hi Everyone,

I am back from my vacation, and I had too much fun.  I can go on and on with my adventurous trip I took to my home Nepal, but that would fill up my whole blog.  Anyways what's important is that I met my family and friends, shared so many beautiful moments, did so many fun things, went to so many different places, which was the best part...the worst part was leaving everything behind and coming back to your life, your schedule. But, it's always good to take a break from your hectic schedule and go on a vacation whether it be short or a long one.  A good vacation refreshes your mind, and gives you memories to cherish for lifetime.

Today I am posting pics that I took back home.  I went to a resort there which was on top of a hill, very beautiful... I took some shots while I was there, hope you will enjoy this.  It is really cold out there so I had lots of layers on, but at the same time you know you can style your layers right?

Blazer: Zara
Scarf: Pashmina from Nepal
Jeans: Pacific Sunwear
Boots: A random shoe store in Nepal
Shades: Juicy Couture
Purse: Chanel

I am so glad to be back in here, and share myself with all of you.  I hope you like the concept.

Tip # 11:  To grow your hair a great scalp massage can enhance the blood flow in the hair follicles.  Your hair needs food and nutrients as well and the scalp massage will get it to the hair follicle.  Then once a week you can make your own hair mask for any damaged hair in your head.  Take two eggs and five to six tablespoon of olive oil and mix them together. Then massage this mixture in your hair and leave it to a minimum of half hour before washing it out.  This will strengthen your hair, and provide protein and food for its nourishment. It will also add life and shine to your hair if you are consistent with it.

I missed you all!!!
 XOXO
